Enrolling as many uninsured Americans as possible into new health coverage options requires continued learning opportunities and sharing best practices. Here are training tools and resources for those who help consumers enroll in health plans.

Covered California Recruiting Assister Organizations


Covered California LogoCovered California, our state’s new health coverage marketplace, is recruiting organizations to become Assisters. Assisters provide in-person help to individuals enrolling and getting health coverage through Covered California. Assisters receive compensation for each new or renewing enrolled member.

Organizations similar to the lists below are encouraged to learn more by completing this Assister Interest Form and returning it to Covered California. Additional information can be found at the Covered California website.

Entities eligible to become Assisters:

  • American Indian Tribe or Tribal Organizations
  • Attorneys (e.g., family law attorneys who have clients that are experiencing life transitions)
  • Chambers of Commerce
  • City Government Agency
  • Commercial fishing, industry organizations
  • Community Clinics
  • Community Colleges and Universities
  • County Social Services Offices (employing eligibility workers)
  • Faith-Based Organizations
  • Indian Health Services Facilities
  • Labor Unions
  • Non-Profit Community Organizations
  • Partnerships with Retail Stores
  • Ranching and farming organizations
  • School Districts
  • Tax Preparers
  • Trade, industry, and professional organizations
